The stones used in construction work must have the following characteristics:

1-The rock texture must have a healthy structure, meaning no grooves, cracks, and loose veins (not creamy)
2- Without any pores

3-No decay

4- Be uniform, uniform and homogeneous

5- The building stone should not absorb too much water, so it should not:

6- Stone should not be contaminated with natural or synthetic materials

7- The rock must withstand the physical and chemical conditions of the environment, so it must: (a) be resistant to wind, frost,     temperature changes and, if water flows, and to all erosion factors; b. It will also resist the action of hydrolyzing vaccination

8- The compressive strength of the bearing parts shall not be less than 2 kg / cm 2.

9- Resistant to wear.
